Endocrinology

Endocrinology is a science that studies the structure and functions of the glands with internal secretion (which lacking the excretory canal send their secretion product-hormones directly into the bloodstream).

These glands are: pituitary, thyroid, parathyroids, epiphysis, suprarenal glands, pancreas and genital glands (ovaries and testicles).

Endocrinology deals with diseases affecting these glands and their treatment.
